The History of Cats-Cade
Cats-Cade was conceived: to provide an opportunity for people to get together prior to going to the Americade Rally; to get some great riding in the Catskill mountains in New York; and to visit the world famous "Bulldog's Gold Wing Fixin' Emporium."  The primary goals of the Cats-Cade gathering were to keep it fun, keep it interesting; keep it  inexpensive for the guests and not let it become a commercial event. These goals were met and exceeded. So we are doing it again. Cats-Cade 2006 will provide the opportunity for new and old friends to gather and ride on some beautiful roads in the Catskills. Cats-Cade will feature oil and tire changing, accessory installations, conversations about our favorite Gold Wing motorcycles, group and individual rides in the mountains, a Saturday night bonfire and cookout, and just some general "hangin-out and talkin motorcycles."
The Gold Wing family cares, shares and helps its own. Cats-Cade 2005 raised a significant amount of money that was given to a local children's fund. Cats-Cade 2006 raised an even greater amount of money and donated all of the collected funds to support the health care of Mabel Hall.

The hub of the Cats-Cade activities will be the Fireman's Park just down the road from the aforementioned Emporium located in Woodbourne, NY, which is approximately 150 miles from Lake George, NY, site of the Americade Rally. Woodbourne is adjacent to the Catskill State Park pictured here. Lots of twisty and scenic roads in there.
The Saturday evening picnic is sure to be an even bigger success than 2005.  The picture below shows the group of  more than 100 Gold Wings  gathered together at the Fireman's Park for the eating and entertainment made possible by a great bunch of volunteers. Everybody pitched in and made the event a great success.
In addition to the vendor provided services and installations, Cats-Cade 2006 featured a series of instructional watch and learn clinics. These clinics will provide an excellent opportunity for you to see how Gold Wings are serviced and to learn how to do more yourself. No other Gold Wing gathering provides this opportunity. All of the accessory providers, experts, and installers who helped make Cats-Cade 2005 a big success will return and will be joined by some exciting new additions.

This fun and informal event grew out of conversations on the GL1800Riders online discussion site sponsored by Honda Direct Line, Hal Greenlee, Prop.
This event is being hosted by the Bulldog and his lovely bride Meesh. Certainly two of the very finest people in the Gold Wing community. If you attended Cats-Cade 2005, 2006, or 2007, we know you will be back. See you soon.
